Loulou João (1993, Sint-Niklaas) is an Afro-Belgian illustrator and animator with roots in Congo. Typical themes are staying true to yourself, mental health and identity. Using an analytical approach, João tries to shed a different light on the narrative of women from the African diaspora. Through 3D software, she often visualises a personal, feminine kawaii reality with an eye on a safe space.
