The Short Night Show

In 'The Short Night Show' Rufus Gallery presents a distinctly midsummer mix of eighteen artists. Familiar names and new voices converge in a group show that balances between playfulness and intensity, between daydream and twilight. Taking midsummer as their starting point – the tipping point at which the days reach their longest – the artists each present one or more works that reflect their personal interpretation. Not a single, straightforward narrative, but a multitude of thrilling, playful, melancholic and unsettling impressions. Together, they form a distinctive showcase: from tranquil to exuberant and from fragile to pronounced. Everything unfolds in that brief, charged liminal space where the night barely has time to settle.
