Illustrator-ceramist Louise Daneels presents a colourful world of forms and objects with personal identities. These 'Danny's' sprout from an uninhibited sketchbook and are difficult to make in ceramics, but just because of that, they form one big, crazy family with typical traits. In her first solo exhibition 'Tea For Twenty', Daneels serves up an ever-fluctuating play of clay characters. Each object acts as a piece on a chessboard, flirting with the surrounding pawns: from theatrical teapots over vive vases to punchy compasses.
