Sarah Yu Zeebroek (°1983, Ghent) first studied Visual Arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, then went on to explore Illustration at LUCA School of Arts in Ghent Zeebroeks oeuvre showcases the wealth of (day)dreaming and imagination, a theme she peppers with surreal, tongue-in-cheek scenes. Her process is intuitive - Zeebroek likes to associate on the spot and creates suspense, knowing just when to let go and when to take control. Each of her works surprises, both in format and content. Rufus factor: With Zeebroek, surrealism comes and goes like the tides, with lots of winks.
