Sebastiaan Van Doninck (°1979) graduated as Master of Fine Arts ─ Illustration at Sint-Lucas Antwerp in 2002 and has already drawn for numerous illustrated, award-winning books and critical prints in editorial media worldwide. In recent years, Van Doninck has been using his autonomous practice more as a breeding medium for paintings, graphics and ceramics with figurative leanings. His associative narrative technique is colourfully expressed in surreal, fantastical works ─ winking eyes included. Recently, ‘Walking Drawings’ was published by Posture Editions and Sebastiaan created a new work for the monumental wall in the Witte Gang of Cultuurhuis de Warande.
